Diagnostika a léčba chronického srdečního selhání

Autoři podávají přehled základní diagnostiky a léčby chronického srdečního selhání, předevąím se zaměřením na ambulantní praxi. V prvé - diagnostické - části jsou zopakovány základní anamnestické, klinické a pomocné laboratorní nálezy, včetně významu EKG a RTG snímku. Je zdůrazněna nezastupitelná role echokardiografie.

V druhé - terapeutické - části je podán stručný přehled nefarmakologických opatření a jsou uvedeny základní principy farmakologické léčby. V této části je zdůrazněna nezastupitelná role inhibitorů angiotenzin konvertujícího enzymu (ACEI) a betablokátorů jako dvou lékových skupin, jejichľ podání je podloľeno klinickými studiemi, prokazujícími prodlouľení a zkvalitnění ľivota.

V závěrečné části je shrnuta současná prognóza onemocnění, která se v posledních letech významně zlepąila, přesto vąak zůstává závaľná, s vysokou úmrtností.
