Akutní krvácení do horní části trávicí trubice - terapie I.

I přes pokroky v léčbě a v péči o nemocné s akutním krvácením do horní části trávicí trubice zůstává mortalita během posledních 50 let stejně vysoká (5-10 %). Příčina je pravděpodobně v častějším krvácení u starých osob s četnými doprovodnými chorobami. Základem terapie je péče o základní životní funkce (léčba a prevence hypovolemického šoku), zástava krvácení farmakologická, endoskopická, radiologická eventuálně chirurgická a terapie základní choroby nebo vyvolávající příčiny krvácení.
