Ve svém sdělení autoři poukazují na komplikaci léčby běžně užívaným antibiotikem - kombinace amoxicilinu s kyselinou klavulanovou. Na příkladu 2 kazuistik je ukázán jeden z méně častých závažných vedlejších účinků terapie, a to toxická jaterní léze manifestující se jako protrahovaný icterus. Jedná se o plně reverzibilní onemocnění, které však činí diferenciálně diagnostické obtíže.
