Léčba diabetické polyneuropatie; studie TOSS

Dle údajů z roku 2002 je v ČR cca 650 000 diagnostikovaných diabetiků a předpokládá se, že dalších přibližně 350 000 diabetiků není v populaci zatím diagnostikováno. U prakticky 50 % diabetiků je diabetická polyneuropatie rozvinuta do takového stupně, že je indikována systematická léčba, a tato skupina představuje asi 500 000 diabetiků v ČR. Práce přináší přehled možností nejjednoduššího klinického vyšetření, které je proveditelné i bez instrumentální techni ky v každé ambulanci. V druhé části práce je zhodnocení léčby diabetické polyneuropatie kyselinou thioctovou ve studii TOSS, která potvrzuje výrazné zlepšení subjektivních potíží a regresi objektivního neurologického nálezu i po orální aplikaci a zcela nahrazuje nutnost podávání infuzní léčby, což zvyšuje komfort pro pacienta.
