Tyreotoxikóza a kost

Osteoporóza byla jako nemoc definována WHO (Světovou zdravotnickou organizací) v 1993, od té doby je jí věnována intenzivní pozornost. Výrazným způsobem narůstá také incidence tyreopatií. Je známo, že hormony štítné žlázy významným způsobem zasahují do kostního metabolizmu a mohou svým vlivem být příčinou osteoporózy nebo přispívat k jejímu vzniku. Ve své práci jsme se zaměřily na ženy s tyreotoxikózou s cílem ověřit vliv nadměrné produkce hormonů štítné žlázy na parametry kostního metabolizmu. Skupinu žen s hypertyreózou jsme srovnávaly s kontrolní skupinou zdravých žen bez tyreopatie, v úvahu jsme braly i status menopauzy. V naší práci jsme v souhlasu s literaturou prokázaly postižení skeletu i zvýšení kostního obratu v době tyreotoxikózy s tím, že parametry se po dosažení remise upravily.
