The study was designed to determine changes in the treatment and control of hypertension in a randomly selected population sample

of the Czech Republic over the past 10 years. The prevalence of hypertension rose in a random population sample of the Czech Republic

rose over the past 10 years while treatment and control of hypertension improved.
