Sonographically guided ethanol sclerotherapy of thyroid cysts - an effective alternative to surgery

Sonographically guided ethanol sclerotherapy is nonsurgical approach for the therapy of benign, symptomatic and recurrent thyroid

cysts. The technique is low-cost, effective, safe and can be performed on outpatient basis. Side effects of ethanol instillation are mild

and transient.
